Tina RuggieroA respected registered dietitian and communications professional dedicated to excellence, Tina Ruggiero has provided fact-based counsel to individuals and corporations since 1994.

Tina’s experience and education, which includes a background in journalism and marketing coupled with an advanced degree in nutrition science, provides the foundation and perspectives necessary to power the “Voice of Reason,” a blog that aims to simplify complex issues and provide context for nutrition and health news of the day.

Recently, Tina has witnessed an explosive demand for balanced viewpoints within the Blogosphere, given an increase in politically-driven food policy agendas and conflicting dietary advice from self-appointed “experts.”

“Providing credible, science-based advice is absolutely essential to what I do,” says Tina, currently President of her own consultancy, Nutrition Dialog.

Tina began her career at the prestigious University Hospitals of Cleveland. She has been widely published in both the trade and consumer press (including magazines such as Elegant Bride, Men’s Health and First for Women), has given numerous interviews about the subjects of food and health and has a passion for teaching. She has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Chicago. In addition, Ruggiero is an active member of the American Dietetic Association, the American Marketing Association and the IACP.

A native New Yorker, Ruggiero received her B.S. with honors from N.Y.U. and her M.S. from Case Western Reserve University. She currently resides in both New York and Florida where she is an avid supporter of the arts. She maintains her black belt in Tae Kwon Do to stay in shape (and work off everything she enjoys cooking and eating).
